Manufacturing quality decision platform

From inspection to decision, a traceable quality flow

Quality Control Automation reads CMM measurement reports, material certificates, drawing revisions and certificates of conformity directly. It validates tolerances and identity fields, ties each result to its source line and helps your quality team reach a decision faster.

  • OK · HOLD · NOKA decision with evidence for every characteristic
  • AS9102FAI Form 1, 2 and 3 as PDF
  • Read-onlyLeast-privilege links to production systems
Quality screen: today's inspection set, the OK, HOLD and NOK split, and work awaiting a decision
What it does

Key features

Evaluate measurement, certificate and shipping documents on one screen, and make the reasoning behind every quality decision visible.

CMM measurement report check

The raw Excel or PDF report produced by PC-DMIS is read directly. Measurements, tolerances and part identity are validated, and the result can be downloaded as CSV.

Certificate check

Chemical and mechanical test values are compared with specification limits (such as AMS), and heat or lot, PO and part numbers with the expected ERP data.

AS9102 first article inspection

Form 1, 2 and 3 PDFs are produced from the drawing, CMM and FAI package, certificates and gauge list. If data is missing or mismatched, no PDF is generated.

Revision and document comparison

Drawing revisions and certificate and specification pairs are compared, and the changed lines and a result summary are recorded.

CoC generation and matching

A yearly-numbered CoC draft is produced from the packing list. Plating and company CoCs are matched by parent and child work order.

Quality assistant

Work-order, part, measurement, certificate and revision records can be queried in plain English, and the assistant never guesses a step it cannot find a source for.

How it works

Four steps from set-up to results

1

Connect documents

CMM reports, the certificate archive and drawings are pulled automatically from a controlled document store.

2

Define the rules

Specification limits, internal tolerances and expected ERP fields are defined as inspection criteria.

3

Run the check

The platform evaluates every characteristic and field and lists OK, HOLD and NOK results with source evidence.

4

Document the decision

FAI, CoC and result reports are generated, and the original documents are archived for the audit trail.

Who it is for

Use cases

Aerospace and defence suppliers

Prepare AS9102 FAI, AMS specification and customer CoC checks with less manual spreadsheet work.

Precision machining

Focus on the exceptions instead of checking every characteristic in a CMM report line by line.

Supplier quality and incoming inspection

Evaluate supplier measurements against both the supplier limit and your own internal tolerance.

Quality assurance and audits

Keep an audit trail ready that shows which document and line every decision came from.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know

Hexagon PC-DMIS Excel and PDF report outputs are read directly. Other CMM software and supplier report formats can be added during set-up.

Connections are read-only by default. ERP transaction drafts are prepared as previews only, and writing stays off without the relevant process and permission approval.

The drawing, CMM and FAI package, FAIR number list and current gauge list are taken from the controlled store. If the data matches, Form 1, 2 and 3 are produced as a PDF.

Yes. Every result is recorded with the document and line it relies on, the original documents are archived and process events are monitored.
