2. The rules that apply
In the United Kingdom, cookies are regulated by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) as well as UK GDPR. Strictly necessary cookies can be set without consent. Analytics, advertising and similar cookies are set only if you choose Accept analytics on the cookie banner.
3. What cookies we use
We group cookies as follows:
- Strictly necessary: keep the site secure, remember your cookie choice, protect forms (Cloudflare Turnstile) and run the session. These do not require consent.
- Analytics: help us understand how the site is used (for example Google Analytics). These load only after you choose Accept analytics. We also use Umami, a self-hosted statistics tool that counts page views in aggregate and does not set cookies.
- Marketing: used only if we later run campaigns and only after you give separate consent. None are set today.
- Live chat: messages you send are handled as part of answering your enquiry. Chat does not set advertising cookies.
4. How long they last
Your cookie choice is stored in your browser (localStorage key cookieConsent) until you clear site data. Analytics cookies, when enabled, follow the retention set by the analytics provider, typically up to 14 months. Session and security cookies expire when you close the browser or after a short security window.
Third parties that may set cookies after consent include Google (Analytics, if accepted) and Cloudflare (Turnstile, which is necessary to stop automated abuse of the contact form). Calendly is opened in a new tab from the contact page and is covered by Calendly’s own notice.
5. How to change your choice
Choose Reject analytics or Accept analytics on the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page; if you reject analytics after accepting, we remove the analytics cookies already set. You can also block cookies in your browser; strictly necessary features such as the contact form may then stop working.
6. Your rights
You can ask us about cookies and other personal data by emailing contact@techlinkai.uk. How we handle those requests, including the right to complain to the ICO, is set out in the Privacy Policy. We aim to reply within one month.
7. Changes
We will update this page if we add new cookies or change providers. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
